The average cost of premium gas in cities within Essex County was $4.27 per gallon.
There are 160 gas stations in cities within Essex County.
The average price of premium gas in New Jersey was $4.29.
Gas prices in the U.S. have fluctuated greatly in recent times and many drivers are feeling the pain at the pump.
The cost of rising gas prices is made tougher on average U.S. families by rising inflation. Families had to pay nearly 8 percent more for average goods and food they needed.
