Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a time for us to reflect on his meaningful impact on his community and our entire country. An essential social activist and leader of the Civil Rights Movement, he sought equality and human rights for Black Americans, people who were economically disadvantaged, and all victims of injustice.
50 years after his assassination, we must all strive to follow and carry out his beliefs. To lift up those around us and fight for the rights of our community members, despite any differences, is essential.
