Join Let's Talk About Books, a monthly book club that is currently meeting via Zoom. For our January 13 meeting, we will be discussing A Backpack, a Bear, and Eight Crates of Vodka: A Memoir by Lev Golinkin. Robert Berger will lead the hour-long presentation. The meeting is free and open to everyone interested, whether they have read the book or not.Summary:Recounts the author's experiences as a young boy fleeing persecution in the late eighties Soviet Union, and his later return to Austria and Eastern Europe as an American adult to track down those who helped his family escape and thank them.
