#repost from @justgirlproject. Having anxiety can be a difficult thing to conquer, but it's easier knowing that you are not going through it alone. Here are some helpful tips on how to be an effectively supportive figure in the life of someone with anxiety.
- Be patient.
- Listen when they share with you their personal triggers and think of ways you can make accommodations.
- Never belittle their anxieties
- Reassure them often and let them know how much you care about them.
- Don't take their hard questions like "You still love me, right" personally.
- You can take space when you need it--you do not need to be their only support 24/7.
