1:00pm – 2:00pm

This event will be taking place as hybrid program both in-person and live on Zoom. An email address is required if attending virtually.  A Zoom link will emailed to those attending virtually the day before the event is to take place.

The Livingston Public Library invites the public to our In-Person Senior Happening on Friday, January 20th at 1pm for an afternoon of songs performed by vocalist Dan Yates. During this performance, Dan will cover the musical styles of Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Andrea Bocelli, Mario Lanza, Nelson Eddy, and Josh Groban.

Dan Yates is a professional performing artist whose programs provide a unique blend of popular and classical music from Broadway, Standards, Operetta, Opera and Traditional Favorites with plenty of chances to sing along. Dan also provides entertaining background information about the songs, lyricists and composers, and the performing artists who made them famous.

Mr. Yates has appeared as an actor and singer in New York City, Atlantic City and theaters across the country. Favorite roles include Curly in Oklahoma, Billy in Carousel, Raul in the Phantom of the Opera, Adam in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, the Caliph in Kismet and Sid in The Pajama Game.

The Senior Happening is a monthly series that allows attendees (“Seniors” or otherwise) to socialize during the first part of the program (12 until 12:45 pm) by bringing a bag lunch, while enjoying desserts and coffee served by the Friends of the Library volunteers. The program and entertainment then begins at 1 pm.

This event will take place as a hybrid program both in-person and virtually on Zoom. Registration is required and may be done in-person at the library; by telephone at (973) 992-4600; or online at www.livingstonlibrary.org.
